Neither for human consumption nor for animal feed despite that the wild cow pea has higher dietary protein content than cow pea. Although we were aware that the nutritional quality of food depends not only on nutrient and nutrient bio availability, rather on safety or absence of toxic or undesirable compounds. So, there is need for an affordable food processing techniques that could be employed to render this potential dietary protein food source acceptable for consumption and animal in form of feed.
